This is a project about a place and a time: an Army Air Corps base in small-town Illinois, where my Brooklyn-born grandfather was stationed during World War II and taught radio communications. Designed to evoke a book of postcards, this accordion book folds neatly into a portfolio cover but can be pulled out in one long sheet, much like a memory.
